Insta-Journal was written and designed by M.Z. Andrews. As a mom to two daughters, two sons, and step-mom to two daughters, M.Z. wanted a journal for her own girls that encouraged creativity and a love of writing. M.Z. was a former middle school English teacher and is now a full-time writer of cozy mysteries; most notably she writes The Witch Squad Cozy Mystery Series, a series about a group of young witches starting witch school, navigating friendships, and solving mysteries along the way. As her own twelve-year-old began reading her mystery series, M.Z. realized she wanted to find a way to encourage her to develop her own love of writing. She hoped that by creating a fun and easy to follow journal, she might be able to do just that.
